Top 4: Places To Chill This Summer

Posted by on

Considering the warmer weather of late, we at Cali think it’s safe to say, that it’s going to be one hot summer for us Sydney siders. So what comes to mind when you think about summer? For us, it’s early morning swims at Sydney’s best-hidden beaches followed by ice-cold juices, smoothies and açai bowls. Since we want you guys to get the most out your summer season, we’ve done the hard work for you and collected a few of Sydney’s ‘hottest’ chill locations.

Icebergs Pool

It’d be criminal not to kick things off with our favourite neighbour, Bondi Icebergs (heck we gram it enough!). Not only is it privy to one of the best outlooks Sydney has to offer, but the club itself has a lot you can pop on your to-do list. There’s, lazing by the pool, jumping in for a swim, heating things up a notch in the sauna, grabbing a massage or watching the sunset over a cheeky drink. Whatever you desire, this place offers all the amenities when it comes to the one-stop-spot, summer hangout.

Lady Martin's Beach

Sydney’s (not so “secret”) secret beaches are always a good idea when you’re looking to avoid the hordes of peeps at Bondi. While there’s always Kutti (pictured), Camp Cove and Redleaf, we’re pretty big fans of Lady Martins. Located in the heart of stunning Point Piper, the views are unparalleled and the waves are small and look, it is Sydney Harbour! Plus, there’s a pretty good chance you’ll catch Malcolm Turnbull cruising on his kayak.

Cafe Chills

Not only do we make offering you guys a super healthy menu for summer a priority, but we’re also big on providing an awesome atmosphere; a place where you can hang out and chill for as long as you like. Bronte, Bondi and Coogee are definitely the front-runners when the weather’s warm, but our courtyard at Surry Hills is a great pit-stop when cruising the shops on Crown St. Our Double Bay cafe sits directly opposite one of Sydney’s newest libraries…so BYO Cali Press smoothie and get your air-conditioned bookworm culture on!

The best rooftop bars/restaurants

We’re no scientists and it may just be the hit of Vitamin D, but we think that when you mix drinking, food and friends with a rooftop location, you have a 99.9% chance of a legendary outcome. If you’re after shoreline views and a pumping summer vibe, we highly recommend Coogee Pavilion Rooftop Bar. But if you’re keen for something a little more chilled and to watch the sunset over our magnificent city skyscrapers, then grab that winning Insta shot over a few delicious cocktails at The Glenmore. It has it all, and then some TO BOOT!
